In Italy, he was responsible for the tourist urban development project of the island of Filicudi, two tourist villages on the Tuscan coast, the renovation of houses and apartments in the historic center of Florence, and in the Tuscan country side, and obtained a patent for a modular furniture design.
In New York, he worked for James Baker and Peter Blake Architects and was president of TDC, Transportation Designers Corporation, where he designed, patented and built a prototype of an intermodal car-rail transportation system.
In France he was in charge of the restoration of the Hotel National des Invalides in Paris as the assistant to the Chief Architect for Historic Monuments.
He worked for the French Ministry of Veterans Administration on the reconstruction of the Veterans' Hospital for disableded.
For the Paris City Council he was responsible for the urban landscape renovation of the Esplanade des Invalides and for the creation of the Jardin de l’Intendant.
He was the winner of competitions for buildings of the Ministry of Finance in Martinique and in France (Amiens, Woippy, Metz...).
Michele Michahelles joined MBA (Marcel Breuer Associates) as a partner in 1983 together with Mario Jossa, D. Chiquet, R. Loehr and B. Vallejos.
He was responsible for the urban development project of IBM’s Essonne site (90 Ha), for the IBM Advance Bipolar Line production center in France, and for a number of office buildings in La Defense - Paris totaling 60,000 m2. He won the competition for the Indosuez Bank Headquarters in Paris, 65,000 m2, now completed, and the competition for the Office and Manufacturing Complex for Sumitomo Sitix in Mante-la-Jolie, France.
In 1990 he founded MBA Moscow with Nickolay Belousov. MBA Moscow / Paris was responsible for the urban planning of the Yakimanka territory (380 Hectars in the Moscow city center), for the project of 70,000 m2 of housing, commercial and office buildings in Moscow, and the White Lakes Golf and Country Club in Moscow.
He is now working freelance in Tuscany.
